Clemson’s “Avengers” Sign NIL Deal with Digital Brand Experience Company Mercury 

Boston, MA –October 18, 2022 – Digital brand experience company Mercury announced today the signing of Clemson University’s ‘Avengers’, the football team’s eight-player defensive unit, to an NIL deal. The Avengers, including KJ Henry, Xavier Thomas, Bryan Bresee, Tyler Davis, Myles Murphy, Ruke Orhorhoro, and Justin Mascoll will partner with Mercury for the rest of the 2022 season through the company’s tailored digital university platform for Clemson Athletics, clemsontigers.io

The defensive group will be featured in exclusive digital collectible drops on the Clemson platform, auction off experiences, and provide Tigers fans with exclusive interviews and team content on the Next Up by Mercury podcast. 

“We operate as a squad, and we wanted to partner with a team that can bring the Avengers crew to life in a special way,” said KJ Henry, a graduate senior defensive end for the Tigers, “The Mercury team knows what we’re about, and we can’t wait for our first exclusive drop and the fun ways we’ll be interacting with the Clemson community.”

Porter Grieve, CEO of Mercury, announced the addition of the eight defensive players just a week after Mercury announced the launch of ClemsonTigers.io with Clemson Athletics.
